In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress has approved a number of emergency support measures, including the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund. On December 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) was enacted providing $54.3 billion for K-12 education through ESSER II funding.
The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, was signed into law by President Biden on March 11, 2021. This legislation includes $122 billon for ESSER III funding.
Below is the link to the ESSER III Application from Powers Lake School District as ESSER II funds need to be spent by September 30, 2023 and ESSER III funds need to be spent by September 30, 2024. Powers Lake School District #27 is receiving approx. $84,300 for ESSER II and approx. $188,523 for ESSER III.
