Good evening. The staff of Powers Lake School is excited to get started next week. A couple things to fill you in on before next week. 1. Each student should have a fillable water bottle. We will have the filling stations turned on but not the regular drinking fountains. 2. We ask the all students have a face covering available. Masks, gators and face shields are all acceptable. Masks are not required except on the bus to start the year but there may be instances throughout the day when students may need one. 3. On the first day of school we are asking that parents do their best to remain outside the school. In order to come in, you will have to have your temperature taken and answer several question to assure you are healthy. We will allow parents of kindergarten students to drop their student off in the classroom. All other students being dropped off should be dropped off and enter through the West door. Again we know that this may be an inconvenience, but we appreciate your cooperation and a positive attitude. Throughout this process our community can “adapt, and thrive!”

Good morning. Here is some information about bussing to start off the school year. Our bus routes will run similar to last year. Each bus will need to have a seating chart and the students must sit in that seat before and after school. Only children from the same household will be allowed to sit together in one seat. All students and drivers will be required to wear face coverings while on the bus. Drivers will take temperatures of students before they go to their seat. If the student has a fever of 100.4 or higher they will be required to stay home. We also ask that there be no snacks eaten on the bus in the morning or after school as well. We will not be picking up town kids to start the year, and we will not be able to add kids to routes each day. If you have ridden the bus before and your situation has changed please contact the school and let us know. We know that this may be an inconvenience for some of you but we appreciate your cooperation and look forward to having the students back in school.
