Due to poor field conditions the JH football game scheduled for today in Ray has been postponed. The JH game for tomorrow in Grenora is still on as scheduled and will be played at 5 pm.
Reminder that the game tonight will be radio broadcast on 1090 am and 92.7 fm. It will also be broadcast online at bakkenbeacon.com or on the ktgo app for iPhone and android.
There will be no JH FB game in Trenton this Thursday. They do not have enough players for the game. Sorry for any confusion.
Prairie Winds Instruments will be showing beginning band instruments @ 3:00 pm on Friday, August 23rd. Parents of beginning band students are encouraged to attend.
Are you a terrible golfer? Tired of throwing your putter across the fairway? Relieve some stress and donate your golf clubs to the Powers Lake PE program! Mr. O'Shea is looking for three sets of golf clubs to use for our students out at the golf course. Drop off the clubs at the main office.
5&6 grade football will begin Thursday August 22 after school in Ray. A bus will transport the students and they will get their equipment that day.

Football practice for students in grades 7-12 starts tomorrow in Ray. The bus will leave for grades 9-12 at 6:30 am and grades 7-8 will leave at 9

Back-to-school packets are in the mail. If you want to see the school supply list early it is under documents on the School app.
There will be a youth football camp on August 6th from 10am-12pm at the Ray football field for students entering grades 1-6. A bus will leave from Powers Lake at 9 am. The cost will be $10 (pay at the camp) Please let Seth Wisthoff know at 7012401328 if your child plans on attending.
Last Rancher Renovation of the summer will be from 7:30-8:30 tomorrow morning at the school. No lake, due to the basketball camp starting at 9.

The booster club raffle will begin selling tickets soon. The prizes will will be branded with Rancher Pride. If you would like to help sell tickets, stop by the Country Store and talk to Jarret. Tickets will be on sale at some local businesses and from booster club members.
There will be a Powers Lake Booster Club meeting tonight at 8 pm at the school. Two topics on the agenda will be football lights agreement and upcoming raffle that will be drawn at the reunion.
Parents: Now is a great time to start scheduling athletic physicals. All athletes in grades 6-12 will need a completed physical by the first day of practice. Physical forms can be picked up in the school office or printed from the school website under the documents tab.
